Part of a multi-year master plan for campus expansion, the patient tower project’s transition team needed a single-source solution for the planning and execution of the entire relocation, which posed several challenges:
- Time: The project’s schedule presented a tight timeframe.
- Space: Since the hospital was built in 1930, the hallways, elevators, and access points were smaller than was typical.
- Logistics: Multiple buildings on campus could only be accessed from certain floors, creating a routing challenge for the movement of existing furniture to the new tower and to other buildings on campus.
